The Atmos GS 25 wood gasification boiler is a manually fed hot water heating boiler for logs, designed for heating single-family homes and similar properties. This model is part of the ATMOS GS series, operates with an exhaust fan, and is intended for systems where a classic wood heating system with a large fuel chamber, robust construction, and straightforward technology is required.

Technology & Features

The boiler operates on the wood gasification principle with a ceramic-lined combustion chamber and an exhaust fan. Features include a large fuel shaft, an electromechanical controller with boiler and flue gas thermostats, a start-up flap, an integrated safety heat exchanger to prevent overheating, and a shutdown logic for the fan and charging pump after the burn cycle.

The design accommodates long logs up to 530 mm, making reloading easier in daily use and reducing preparation effort compared to shorter log lengths. The ceramic combustion chamber, induced draft fan, and clear control structure support stable combustion, making the GS 25 a straightforward, robust solution for users who consciously choose to heat with logs.

System Integration & Compatibility

The Atmos GS 25 is designed as a full-load boiler for integration into a water-based heating system. For operation, the series requires a sufficiently warm return flow temperature and is optimized for use with a buffer tank; the documentation for the GS 25 specifies a minimum buffer volume of 500 liters.

Installation

Installation must be carried out in a suitable boiler room with adequate combustion air supply; installation in living spaces is not permitted. The system requires a suitable chimney, professional hydraulic integration with return temperature boosting, and coordinated integration of a buffer tank.

Notes

For intended operation, dry logs with a residual moisture content of approximately 12 to 20% must be used. According to the documentation, a minimum return temperature of 65 °C must be maintained during operation; the recommended boiler flow temperature is 80 to 90 °C.
