Product description of the hot water tank
The 100-liter ETWS hot water tank is a central storage unit for the safe and efficient heating of domestic hot water. It is suitable for combination with thermal solar systems, heating boilers, or solid fuel systems and, with an internal heat exchanger, provides reliable hot water comfort for households.
The design relies on durable materials and protective measures such as a high-quality enamel coating and a large magnesium sacrificial anode to prevent corrosion and extend the service life of the tank.

Special equipment features of the tank
The tank features a highly efficient heat exchanger, a circulation connection, and a retrofittable receptacle for a 1 1/2" electric heating element. The thermal insulation consists of rigid polyurethane foam (PUR) for low standby losses.
Corrosion protection is ensured by an enamel coating on the inside as well as by a built-in magnesium sacrificial anode, which increases the service life, especially with varying water qualities.
OWR1 SMART Heating Element 2 kW – Overview
The OWR1 SMART heating element 2 kW is a connectable electric heating element for supplementing hot water tanks. It is available in stainless steel or with a copper heating element and nickel coating, and offers Wi-Fi connectivity with app control for remote monitoring and operation.
With a power of 2.0 kW at 230 V, a connection thread of 1 1/2" male, and an installation length of 363 mm, the heating element is specifically designed for horizontal installation and is designed for easy commissioning with a Schuko plug.
Operating modes of the SMART heating element
The heating element offers several modes: Manual mode for direct temperature setting, ECO mode (constant 55 °C) to protect the heating element, intelligent mode that learns user habits, and schedule mode for time-based control via the app.
Additionally, there are away mode (minimum temperature 10 °C), boost mode (short-term rapid heating), as well as frost protection and anti-legionella functions (automatic 30-minute heating cycle to 60 °C when needed).

Installation and operation
The heating element is mounted on the existing 1 1/2" connection of the storage tank and is designed for horizontal installation. Thanks to the Schuko plug, commissioning with minimal tools is possible; nevertheless, installation and electrical connection by qualified personnel is recommended to ensure tightness and safety.
Operation is carried out directly via the illuminated control element on the device or conveniently via app using WLAN, where heating schedules, operating modes, and boost functions can be set up and monitored.
Safety and maintenance
The built-in safety temperature limiter (85 °C), frost protection, and anti-legionella function ensure safe operation and hygienic hot water temperatures. Regular visual inspections and occasional maintenance extend the service life of the heating element and the storage tank.
In case of wear or deposits on the heating element, replacement by qualified specialists is recommended; the magnesium anode in the storage tank should be checked periodically and replaced if necessary.
Scope of delivery and warranty
Scope of delivery of the heating element: heating element, installation and operating instructions, as well as special SMART operating instructions for app functions. The OWR1 SMART heating element comes with a two-year manufacturer's warranty.
The hot water storage tank is delivered including insulation and pre-assembled connections; electrical connection and final installation should be carried out by a specialist to ensure warranty conditions and safe operation.
