Construction and materials

The appliance body is made of robust steel, and the combustion chamber is lined with vermiculite, ensuring good heat retention and long-lasting protection. The solid cast iron door guarantees a tight seal and consistent combustion quality.

Beneath a sturdy cast iron grate is an ash box, and below that a spacious compartment offers room for storing firewood – practically and space-savingly integrated.

Continuous burning function and automatic control

The stove can burn both wood and lignite briquettes. With lignite briquettes, a glowing ember bed can be maintained for up to 12 hours, thus requiring less frequent refueling.

Operation and safety

Features include an airwash system for a clear view of the flame and an air-cooled handle that reduces the risk of burns when opening the door. The solid cast iron door ensures a secure and tight seal.

Variants and design options

The Baltrum is available in several versions: black steel body, soapstone or cream limestone cladding, and a version with cast-gray steel and soapstone cladding. This allows the stove to be adapted to different interior design styles.

Installation and connection options

The stove operates as standard with room air intake. For particularly airtight new buildings or if required, a connection for external combustion air can be retrofitted to prevent negative pressure in the room.

Care and maintenance

Regularly emptying the ash pan and checking the seals will maintain the efficiency and safety of the appliance. The vermiculite lining should be inspected for damage and professionally repaired as needed.
