The OWR1 SMART heating element 2 kW is a networked heater for efficiently heating hot water in storage tanks, available in two high-quality versions: stainless steel and copper with nickel coating. With integrated WLAN and app control, the device can be monitored and operated worldwide - ideal for modern, energy-efficient households.

The device offers several operating modes (Smart, Eco, Manual, Absence, Plan, Boost, Anti-Legionella, Frost Protection) and combines easy installation with convenient remote control. A two-year manufacturer's warranty provides additional security.

Operating modes

Manual mode: The temperature can be adjusted manually by up to ±5 °C in the range from 15 °C to 75 °C. ECO mode: Maintains the water temperature at a constant 55°C to minimize heat loss, energy consumption and load on the heating element. Intelligent mode: Learns user habits and heats water only when needed.

Plan mode: Create hourly, daily or weekly heating plans conveniently via the app. Away mode: Maintains a minimum temperature of 10°C when away for a long period of time to prevent damage caused by cooling down. Boost mode: Short-term rapid heating (30 minutes) to a higher temperature, e.g. B. 70 °C, then return to the preset temperature.

Frost protection: Prevents the storage tank from falling below 10 °C, particularly useful in winter. Anti-Legionella function: Monitors the temperature and automatically activates a 30-minute heating cycle to 60°C if the temperature has not been increased within 15 days.

Installation & Operation

The heating cartridge is designed for horizontal installation and is mounted on the connecting thread 1 1/2" AG. The delivery with a Schuko plug enables easy, tool-free commissioning; However, we recommend installation by a qualified person to ensure tightness and a secure electrical connection.

It is operated via the illuminated control element on the device and, above all, via the app via WLAN, so that heating plans, modes and boost functions can be set remotely. The external controller cabling allows for uncomplicated temperature adjustment in the range of around 10 °C to 75 °C.

Security & Maintenance

The built-in safety temperature limiter at 85 °C protects against overheating. The anti-Legionella automatic system ensures hygienic hot water temperatures by automatically heating it up to 60 °C when necessary. Frost protection prevents the contents from freezing and protects the memory at low ambient temperatures.

Regular visual inspections and, if necessary, maintenance of the heating element as well as checking the electrical connections extend the service life. In the event of wear or deposits, replacement by qualified specialist personnel is recommended.

Operating modes

Manual mode

The user can manually adjust the operating temperature by up to 5°C in the range of 15°C to 75°C.

ECO mode

In this mode, the heater maintains the water temperature at 55⁰ C. This is the optimal operating temperature in terms of heat loss, energy saving and heating element life.

Intelligent mode

It monitors the user's habits and heats the water accordingly when necessary.

Plan mode

Allows the user to set an hourly, daily or weekly heating schedule using the app.

Away mode

Recommended for travel when the user is away from home and the heater maintains a temperature of at least 10°C.

Boost Mode

After turning on, it heats to a higher temperature (e.g. 70°C) for 30 minutes and then returns to the previously set temperature.

Antifreeze

The device prevents the water temperature from falling below 10 °C, which is particularly advantageous in winter.

Antilegionella
