The OWRG heating element with 6 kW output is a high-quality electric heating element for retrofitting or as a spare part for drinking and domestic water tanks, boilers and buffer storage. It was designed for operation at 400 V/50 Hz and offers a compact installation length of 360 mm.

The version with 1 1/2" external thread enables direct mounting on common flanges and connections. The horizontal installation type makes it particularly suitable for horizontal installation situations in storage tanks.

Installation and assembly

The heating rod is intended for horizontal installation; pay attention to the specified installation length of 360 mm and the 1 1/2" AG connection thread. The assembly is user-friendly and requires the appropriate seal and a tight fit in the thread.

For safety and warranty reasons, the electrical installation and commissioning should be carried out by a qualified electrician. The power supply must be safely disconnected before assembly work.

Safety and operation

The temperature control takes place externally on the controller and can be adjusted from approx. 30 °C to approx. 75 °C. In addition, an integrated safety temperature limiter protects against overheating at 90 °C.

Regular visual inspections and proper protection in the circuit increase operational safety. If there are irregularities or defects, the heating rod should be taken out of operation and checked.
