The Atmos KC45S coal gasifier is a manually loaded solid fuel boiler with a rated heat output of 45 kW, designed for heating systems with a correspondingly high heat demand. It is intended for operation with lignite briquettes and, according to the manufacturer, can also be operated with dry split logs as an alternative fuel.
The boiler is suitable for residential buildings, weekend houses, and similar properties where a robust solid fuel heat generator is to be integrated into a water-based heating system. The specific design of the system, the chimney, and the storage or return flow technology should always be tailored to the building and the existing heating system.
The Atmos KC45S operates on the principle of gasification and uses an induced draft fan to support the combustion and flue gas path. The fuel loading chamber is equipped with a rotating grate mechanism and secondary air supply in the lower section, while the combustion chamber is lined with ceramic elements.
Operation is controlled via electromechanical equipment including a thermometer, main switch, flue gas thermostat, boiler thermostat, and safety thermostat. A cooling loop is provided for overheating protection. This makes the boiler technically designed for operation with solid fuels and the typical requirements of a boiler room.
The rotating grate mechanism facilitates the downward movement of ash into the combustion chamber and supports practical cleaning during solid fuel operation. The large loading opening and the fuel shaft with a volume of 125 liters are tailored for operation with lignite briquettes and the intended alternative fuels.
Thanks to the electromechanical basic equipment, the operating logic remains clear. At the same time, the induced draft fan, ceramic combustion chamber, and preheated primary and secondary air support a stable combustion process within the intended operating range.
The Atmos KC45S is integrated into a water-based heating system and requires a suitable chimney with sufficient draft. The flue pipe connection is designed for 150/152 mm, and the required chimney draft is 25 Pa.
For safe and boiler-friendly operation, the return temperature, operating temperature, chimney connection, and hydraulic integration must be professionally planned. The manufacturer's documentation specifies a minimum return temperature of 65 °C and a design operating temperature of 80 to 90 °C.
The following technical data refers to the Atmos KC45S and is limited to the active META fields relevant to the shop.

Installation of the Atmos KC45S involves integration into a water-based heating system with a suitable installation room, appropriate chimney connection, and a professionally executed electrical connection. The boiler is designed for connection to 230 V / 50 Hz.
When planning the system, particular attention must be paid to chimney draft, flue pipe routing, return temperature boosting, overheating protection, and hydraulic integration. The work should be carried out by a qualified specialist company.
Lignite briquettes are intended as the main fuel. Dry split logs can be used as an alternative fuel if the manufacturer's specifications regarding moisture content, diameter, and length are observed.
The prescribed minimum return water temperature is 65 °C. The design operating temperature of the boiler is 80 to 90 °C. The choice of output does not replace a heat load calculation and should be verified as suitable for the building and the existing heating system.
