Modern technology and structure

The Defro Firewood Plus 15 kW natural draft boiler offers state-of-the-art gasification technology for efficient log combustion. The robust and compact boiler body is made of high-quality materials, ensuring long-lasting operation even under demanding conditions. Thanks to its sophisticated design, it fits even in small boiler rooms and is ideal for renovating existing heating systems as well as for new construction.

Performance and efficiency

With a nominal heat output of 15 kW, the Defro Firewood Plus impresses with its high energy efficiency. Thanks to its optimized design, the boiler achieves an efficiency of 92.4%, which translates not only into lower firewood costs but also into an environmentally friendly heating method. The low flue gas temperature of just 142 °C and the low CO content meet the strict standards of the Second Federal Immission Control Ordinance (BlmSchV2) and contribute to the responsible use of resources.

As a pure natural draft gasifier, the boiler uses only logs – a renewable, regional fuel. This makes it a crisis-proof heat source that operates independently of fossil fuels. The Firewood Plus is particularly flexible when combined with other renewable heating systems such as heat pumps, creating an innovative and sustainable overall concept for your building.

Safety and control system

The integrated electronic flue controller precisely controls the primary air supply. This ensures consistently clean and efficient combustion without the need for manual intervention. Additionally, the boiler circuit pump and induced draft fan can optionally be connected to the same control system to further optimize operation.

A factory-installed safety heat exchanger enables safe operation in a closed heating system without the need for complex double thermal safety devices. A sight glass allows for convenient visual inspection of the carburetor flame, contributing to the safe and transparent operation of the system.

Comfort and assembly

The secondary air can be adjusted directly on both sides of the boiler, allowing for particularly space-saving installation close to the wall. The Defro Firewood Plus can be installed by our nationwide customer service team. Installation is impressively simple and suitable for both new and existing heating systems.
