The GEMA MDC Plus 400 Bundle Module + Heating Rod TEHP75 7.5 kW 400 V combines a heating module for central heating systems with a matching electric heating cartridge for additional heat input into the heating circuit.
The bundle is suitable for systems where electric auxiliary heat, reheat, frost protection support, emergency heat support, or the use of surplus electricity from photovoltaic systems is planned. Proper hydraulic and electrical integration remains crucial.
Technology & Equipment
The MDC Plus 400 module provides the hydraulic integration into the heating circuit. It is designed as an electric flow-through heater or heating module for central heating systems and is integrated into the parallel heating circuit on the flow or return line of the main heat source.
The TEHP75 heating rod handles electric heat generation with 7.5 kW at 400 V. The electric heating cartridge features integrated insulation separation, a temperature controller, a safety temperature limiter, a protective cap with IP54 protection rating, and a sheath material made of Incoloy 825.
Everyday Benefits
The bundle creates an additional electric heat source in the heating circuit and can support existing heat generators depending on the situation. This is particularly interesting when electrical energy is to be deliberately introduced as heat into the central heating system.
The combination of module and matching heating rod creates a clearly assignable system unit. This makes it transparent for operators which base module and which electric heating cartridge belong together.
System Integration & Compatibility
The MDC Plus 400 module is intended for open or closed central heating systems with appropriate safety devices. The medium can be water or a glycol mixture suitable for heating systems up to a maximum concentration of 50%.
Operation requires a functioning safety valve and an additional circulation pump. The circulation pump must ensure the necessary flow rate and be connected in parallel with the heating cartridge.

Installation
The heating module is integrated into a parallel heating circuit on the flow or return line of the main heat source. Pipe routing, filling, venting, safety valve, and additional circulation pump must match the system and be carried out professionally.
The TEHP75 heating element is installed in a suitable socket G 1 1/2" / 6/4". Installation, electrical design, protection, safety measures, and connection may only be carried out by qualified professionals.
Notes
Operation without sufficient water filling is not permitted. Before switching on, the module, heating circuit, and heating element must be completely filled and vented.
No shut-off valves may be installed between the safety valve and the device. The housing of the heating cartridge must not be covered or thermally insulated. The product information does not replace professional system planning, heat load calculation, or electrical sizing.
